Based on equipment age, usage hours, and emission reduction potential criteria, Cleveland Brothers Equipment Company, Inc. selected five owners of off-road construction equipment for engine repowers and upgrades. Between them, the five equipment owners repowered fifteen engines and upgraded two engines from EPA Tier 0 to Tier 1.

The repowered and upgraded equipment, which included wheel loaders, motor graders, dozers, scrapers, compactors, and off-road trucks, is expected to operate in six counties in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, and York.

MARAMA supported this project with a grant from the U.S. EPA under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).  Individual equipment owners provided the remaining funds.

     Total cost:$1,095,483 ($821,691 grant funded)
