Funding from MARAMA enabled Chaney Enterprises to take seven Ready Mix Concrete Mixer trucks with essentially no emission reduction equipment out of service and replace them with cleaner, more efficient model year 2011 trucks.   New Chaney Ready Mix Concrete Mixer Truck
Table of lifetime emission reductions and diesel fuel savings for the Chaney Enterprises Cement Truck Replacements

With a useful life of upwards of twenty years for Ready Mix Concrete Mixer trucks in the U.S. market, the inefficient old trucks could have continued to operate for about seven to nine more years if they had not been replaced.  Chaney is operating the new trucks in Prince George’s, Anne Arundel, and St. Mary’s counties in Maryland.

MARAMA supported this project with a grant from the U.S. EPA under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).  Chaney Enterprises provided the remaining funding.
